Over 25 years of community service
Integrated Development Facility (IDF) was founded in the year 1999 and was formally registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO) the same year.
The organization was founded to address the challenges of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, deteriorating education standards, and reduced economic opportunities among the people of Homa Bay.
The organization has grown and expanded over the years and currently implements projects in seven counties across the country. IDF has created and managed incredible partnerships that have transformed the lives of vulnerable communities across the country.
Our Head Office is located at Kadongo Centre, Rachuonyo East Sub County, Homa Bay County, along Kisii-Kisumu Road. We also operate satellite offices in all the project areas.

Our purpose, clearly stated
IDF's mission and vision define every project we implement and every community we serve across Kenya.
Our Vision
We envision a healthy, just, and empowered society where every community member can thrive and reach their full potential.
Our Mission
To harmonise and consolidate local efforts through community empowerment in areas of health education, socio-economic and environmental concerns.
Equal Opportunity Commitment
We are committed to being an open, equal opportunity organization that does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, national origin, or disability. This applies to all organizational practices including provision of services to clients and beneficiaries.
The principles that guide us
Five core values shape every decision IDF makes — from the field to the boardroom.
Professionalism
We uphold the highest standards of conduct, competence and integrity in all our work and interactions with partners and communities.
Accountability
We take responsibility for our actions and decisions, ensuring transparency in the use of resources entrusted to us by donors and communities.
Stewardship
We manage all resources — financial, human and environmental — with care and wisdom, ensuring long-term sustainability for the communities we serve.
Teamwork
We believe in the power of collaboration — working together internally and with partners to achieve more than any one organization can alone.
Transparency
We are open and honest in all our communications, operations and reporting — building trust with communities, donors and government partners alike.
Christian Values
Our work is guided by Christian principles of compassion, dignity, justice and service to the most vulnerable members of society.
Those who stand with us
Our partners provide technical, financial and institutional support that makes sustainable community development possible across Kenya.
"The design of the Global Fund Malaria Project by the GoK and malaria stakeholders led to improved uptake of community case management and eventually reduced malaria prevalence in the lake endemic region."
— IDF Global Fund Project Report
